Overview
From November to April, snow enthusiasts and their families enjoy a variety of Winter activities at Big Sky Mountain Resort in Montana, including downhill and nordic skiing, boarding, tubing and much more.
Downhill Skiing
Downhill skiers enjoy 85 miles of runs across Big Sky Resort including the single, longest run of six miles. There are plenty of lifts (including a 15-passenger tram and three high speed quad lifts) able to transport up to 25,000 people an hour to trails accommodating beginner through expert athletes.
Snowboarding
Shredders rip it up on Big Sky's terrain parks with half-pipes, board jumps, banked turns and kickers. Blasting music, a rope tow, and snowmaking machines add to park amenities.
Tubing
Big Sky Resort’s Tube Park boasts a 500-foot long tube, "Adrian's Way" carpet lift and a mini small terrain park with plenty of boxes, rails and kickers.
Cross Country Skiing
Go Nordic skiing in and around Big Sky Resort and at nearby Lone Mountain Ranch with 80-plus groomed and open trails.
Snowshoeing
Guided snowshoeing is offered through Big Sky’s Snow School.
Sleigh Rides
Area outfitters can take you on a fun family sleigh ride tour or a romantic glide for two. Beverages, food, and western stories and hospitality all compliment your tour of Big Sky’s Winter wonderland.
