For most people the adventures and beauty of the mountainous resort town of Big Sky in Montana is hard to resist. With year round activities that are suited to all tastes and budgets, it is no surprise that amenities supplied are world class. Many people are accustomed to maintaining connections to the outside world through Internet access, so the town has plenty of facilities to accommodate this too.

Most major lodgings provide free or inclusive broadband or Wi-Fi connections with accommodations, but not everyone has access to a computer. Business facilities are open to all guests and there are computers for those requiring a broadband connection. However, with so many people traveling with their laptops, Wi-Fi signals and hotspots are not hard to find.

For free Wi-Fi, two main resort lodgings allow guests and non-guests to access their connections, which are usually strongest within the main common areas, though the signals can be reached just outside their buildings. The Big Sky Resort (1 Lone Mountain Trail) has a hotspot in the Huntley/Shoshone Lodge lobby areas. The Mountain Inn at 75 Sitting Bull Road also has a strong Wi-Fi signal in its lobby. For free service outside of the resorts, the Hungry Moose Market (209 Aspen Leaf Drive), located in the Meadow Village Shopping Center, provides seating, hot drinks and snacks for those wishing to sit inside, though the signal can be reached from the benches located just outside the store.
